Police seize 1400lbs of ganja on Marcus Garvey Drive

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police seized more than 1,400 pounds of ganja on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston on Sunday.

According to the police report the contraband, valued at $1.4 million, was taken from a Toyota Hiace bus, which was intercepted by the Hunts Bay Police at about 1:30pm.

The police say they found 1,404 pounds of compressed ganja in 43 boxes, inside the vehicle.

Investigations continue.
