Police seize firearm in Ocho Rios

ST ANN, Jamaica — The Ocho Rios police seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Milford Road in the resort town yesterday.

Two men have been taken into custody in connection with the seizure.

The police report that about 10:40 pm a team of officers was on patrol in the area, when two men were accosted and searched. 

One Carandai 9mm pistol, along with five 9mm cartridges were taken from one of the men.

The identities of both men are being withheld pending further investigations.
