Police seize two firearms, ammo in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica -- Two firearms and several rounds of ammunition were seized by the Manchester Operational Support Team (OST) during an operation in the Manchester Division Saturday morning.

A.380 Beretta pistol with five .380 cartridges was seized on Bonita (Bonitto) Crescent and the other, a 9mm Glock pistol with three rounds of ammunition, was found in a fowl coop in Three Chains district.

The Mandeville Police say that between 7:00 pm Friday, June 21, and 9:00 am Saturday, June 22 an operation was conducted in Grey Ground, Wilbin Street and Three Chains district in the parish when the firearms were discovered. No one was arrested in connection with the seizures.
