Police want help in counterfeit cigarette case

DETECTIVES from the Flying Squad have intensified their probe in the case involving yesterday’s seizure of several cartons of counterfeit cigarettes found in a service vehicle in which three police officers were travelling.
Ten statements have so far been collected and citizens continue to call to assist with investigations. The police officers that are involved in the incident are to be questioned this week and be placed on an identification parade.
The police are again appealing to citizens who can assist with the investigation to call the Flying Squad at 922 – 2373, Operation Kingfish at 811, Crime Stop at 311 or Police Control Centre at 119.
