PHOTO: Polygraph boost

Thursday, October 18, 2012

From left) Canadian Ambassador to Jamaica Robert Reading, Minister of National Security Peter Bunting, Police Commissioner Owen Ellington, and Colonel Desmond Edwards of the Jamaica Defence Force view polygraph equipment donated to the Jamaica Constabulary Force Polygraph Centre by the Canadian government at the centre’s Twickenham Park base in St Catherine, yesterday. Two Toyota sports utility vehicles were also handed over to the centre. Yesterday’s handover is the first of what will be an ongoing programme of support valued at CAD$705,000 to the unit. The programme, announced earlier this year, is intended to help create a centre of excellence for polygraph training. (Photo: Marlon Reid)
