BOGGED down by a deluge of prank calls, the Fire Department is calling on Jamaicans to desist from the practice.
Public Relations Officer for the department Emelio Ebanks, said the calls are potting the department under severe pressure as it is already struggling to effectively carry out its duties with limited resources.
He said the department receives on average of 1,500 prank calls annually.
