SPANISH TOWN, St Catherine — Angry residents of White Water Meadows in St Catherine this morning blocked a section of the Hartland Road in protest over poor road conditions in the community.

Residents complained that for several months they have been calling on authorities to fix the road.

But their calls have fallen on deaf years, they say.

"We are frustrated … something must be done to rectify this issue," resident Andrea Golding told the Observer.

Golding was one of several placard-bearing residents gathered to voice their grouse along the main road leading to the community.
