TO facilitate the official funeral to be held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral on North Street tomorrow for the late Ambassador Dudley Thompson, the following road closures will be in effect:

Before the service

Between the hours of 10: 00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., North Street, between Central Avenue and South Camp Road, will be closed to vehicular traffic. JUTC buses and the general motoring public travelling along North Street from the Gleaner Company will be diverted onto Central Avenue through Kingston Gardens via Heroes Circle.

JUTC buses and the general motoring traffic travelling along South Camp Road intending to access North Street will instead continue straight along South Camp Road.

Only vehicles attending the funeral will be allowed access.

After the service

Between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., South Camp Road and Camp Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between East Queen Street and Tom Redcam Avenue as a mark of respect and to ensure smooth movement of the funeral procession from Holy Trinity Cathedral to Briggs Park, Up Park Camp where interment will take place.

Traffic travelling from the lower section of South Camp Road, Victoria Avenue or East Queen Street will not be allowed access beyond this point. Traffic will instead use Victoria Avenue or East Queen Street, whichever is more suitable. Traffic travelling along Tom Redcam Avenue intending to use Camp Road will be diverted onto Caledonia Avenue via Marescaux Road.
