ST MARY, Jamaica -- Cooling down operations are now underway at the Tacky High School in Gayle, St Mary after a section of the school was damaged in an early morning fire.

The entire administrative block of the school was reportedly destroyed in the blaze.

Early reports are that the fire was deliberately set by a group of men who tied up the security guard at the institution. The incident occurred at about 5:00 am OBSERVER ONLINE was told.

The unconfirmed reports say that the group demanded the combination for a safe at the school and when their demands were not met they set the administrative block on fire.
