Robbery attempt at HEART Trust Institution

Mandeville, Manchester — A robbery was thwarted this morning at the HEART Trust/NTA institution located on Grove Road in Mandeville.

The police report that a about 4:00am a patrol was being conducted in the area when a car was seen parked along the roadway.

As they stopped to check on the car sounds were reportedly heard coming from the nearby school and three men were seen trying to break into the building.

It is alleged that a shootout ensued and the men escaped.

The parked car, a green Toyota Camry, was traced to a South Manchester address.

A car radio and a car battery, were recovered, the police said.
