Robinson calls for restart of Fern Gully works

Sunday, April 01, 2012 | 1:05 PM

MEMBER of Parliament for North East St Ann, Shahine Robinson, said that the stoppage of the Fern Gully project is a gross inconvenience to the Ocho Rios community and puts the area at risk for major flooding.

Robinson pointed out that she has been receiving many complaints about the very shoddy state of a section of the roadway and called on the Minister of Transport and Works, Dr Omar Davies, to restart and complete the project as quickly as possible as its current stoppage is having a very negative impact on commuters and the wider community.
