Schoolgirl stabbed for bad bounce at bus stop
A schoolgirl was stabbed in her stomach because she bumped into another pupil at a bus stop in Kingston yesterday.
The Ministry of Education reported yesterday that the stabbing incident that took place after school hours, at a bus stop in the vicinity of the Pembroke Hall High School.
The victim is a ninth grade female student of the Pembroke Hall High School. She was attacked after a brief mishap with another female student, who is a member of the Marverly Primary and Junior High School.
According to a report from the Ministry’s Regional Office, the victim accidentally bumped into the Marverly student and immediately offered an apology.
The offended student summoned her boyfriend who viciously attacked and stabbed the offending female student. The student was admitted to hospital in critical condition.
She has been treated and released.
The Ministry of Education condemned the incident and dispatched a trauma response team to offer counselling services to both students and their families.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
