Several injured in Ocho Rios bus crash

OCHO RIOS, St Ann - Several people are now receiving treatment at the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital following a motor vehicle crash along the main road in the vicinity of Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios Monday morning.

According to persons who were early on the scene, the crash which involved a Toyota Hiace public passenger bus and a motor car, occurred after 10:00am.

Reports are that the bus which plies the Brown’s Town to Ocho Rios route was heading towards Ocho Rios when it collided with the car.  
The police were unable to provide any details on the incident as investigations continue.

However, an employee at the St Ann’s Bay Hospital told Jamaica Observer that a student who was among the passengers on the bus has suffered broken bones. The source could not confirm the extent of the injuries suffered by the others, but no fatality has so far been reported.
