KINGSTON, Jamaica -- A trough associated with the dissipated Gabrielle is expected to remain across the central Caribbean, including Jamaica until Monday, the Meteorological Service says.
The forecast is for scattered showers and thunderstorms over sections of most parishes across the island during the afternoons.
At 11:00 pm Thursday the remnants of Gabrielle, was located near Latitude 19.0 degrees north and Longitude 68.5 degrees west or about 45 kilometres north-northwest of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the Met Service reports.
The remnants are moving towards the north northwest near 15 km/h. This general north- northwest motion is expected to continue for the next day or two.
