Monday, December 17, 2012 | 7:55 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica - CVM Television announced Monday that Simon Crosskill has joined the station as the executive producer and presenter for their nightly programme, Live@7.

Crosskill has spent the last 18 years as presenter and sports caster at electronic media houses including the BBC and on local and regional television networks.

“I am excited and look forward to working with the team to further the development of what is already an impressive programme. I am feeling particularly fortunate at this time since this opportunity provides me with the perfect platform to facilitate expressions on a broad range of issues that are not necessarily sports.” he said in a release late Monday afternoon.

According to CVM’s director Shamena Khan “Simon’s wealth of experience, sharp wit and his trademark directness have made him a household name in Jamaica.

“We view his appointment as a sign of our commitment to enhancing the station’s leadership in news and current affairs. We were very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Simon’s calibre".
