KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Defence Force soldiers charged with the murder of accountant Keith Clarke were offered bail in the Home Circuit Court this morning.
Lance Corporals Greg Tinglin and Odel Buckley and Private Arnold Henry were each offered $2 million bond with conditions.
However, the men will be confined to the Jamaica Defence Force compound in Kingston and have been ordered to surrender their travel documents.
The men are to next appear in court on September 28 when they are expected to settle the matter of their legal representation.
So far the legal team consists of Queen's Council Howard Hamilton, Linton Gordon, Patrick Cole and Chester Crooks.
The soldiers were charged with murder this morning, some two weeks after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions ruled that they be charged.
