Spanish Town residents receiving cell phone threats
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Police High Command says they are aware of a cell phone voice note being circulated issuing threats of violence against residents of Spanish Town, St Catherine since the arrest of Andre Bryan, otherwise called ‘Blackman’, who was wanted by the police.
According to the communications arm of the police force, Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the information is being assessed and analysed.
Meanwhile, the public is being urged to remain calm, as the police are still maintaining a strong presence in Spanish Town in order to restore law and order.
Additionally, residents of the affected communities are being asked to be aware and to share information about any illegal or suspicious activities happening in their area. This, they say, will assist with their investigations into the current situation plaguing the St Catherine North Division.
