St Elizabeth teen accused killing stepfather, remanded
Wednesday, July 04, 2012 | 5:01 PM
SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD Rohan Cuff who has been accused of murdering his stepfather in Leeds District, St Elizabeth, was remanded in custody when he appeared before the Resident Magistrate's Court in Santa Cruz today.
It is alleged that the teen used a machete to chop Cyril Kessley several times, killing him on the spot.
His attorney Yushaine Morgan yesterday recommended that his client receive psychiatric assessment and Resident Magistrate Sonya Wint Blair agreed and ordered that Cuff see a psychiatrist.
This did not go over well with Cuff however who protested the order, "Ma'am, me no mad you know!"
The matter is set for mention in the Children's Court on Friday July 20.
