ST GEORGE’S, Grenada – Police are investigating the death of a 16-year-old male student who was stabbed at a secondary school in Grenada today.

Police said a female student is assisting in the investigations following the incident at a school on the outskirts of the capital.

Some eyewitnesses said that there was an altercation over a chocolate and that female student had used a knife to stab the 16 year old.

Education officials said that counsellors had been sent to the school and that students had been sent home early.

Many students were seen crying as they left the institution and school officials confirmed that some had fainted. They were however not treated at hospital.
