KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 15-year-old student of the Institute of Academic Excellence (IAE) is now dead after two fellow pupils of the Half-Way-Tree-based institution attacked him this afternoon.

He has been identified as Euric Brown.

Police say he was attacked and stabbed to death during a dispute over a cellular phone.

Another student who attempted to assist Brown was also stabbed and injured and is now in hospital.

Security guards and staff at the institute subdued the student attackers. Both students are now in police custody.
