Suspected goat thief collared in Adelphi

THE Adelphi Police in St James, along with the Operation and Support Unit (OSU) from Trelawny, arrested and charged a man for stealing goats, under the Praedial Larceny Act, early this morning.

The police report that about 3:55 am, the Police received information that men were stealing goats in Edenvale District, Adelphi, St James.

The OSU was alerted and the vehicle in which the men were travelling was intercepted in Salt Marsh, Trelawny. Two men managed to escape from the vehicle but the driver was held and five goats found.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.
