Suspected lottery scammer arrested by police

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica -- A St Elizabeth man suspected of being involved in the lottery scam was arrested by the Black River Police on Saturday.

The man, whose identity is being withheld by the police, was arrested on warrant in his community about 2:00 pm.

His arrest was ordered following a raid at his home in Bybrook, Santa Cruz about 5:00 am on Wednesday, December 11 when a laptop containing lead sheets (names, addresses, phone numbers and social security numbers of people living in the United States of America) was seized; three cell phones were also seized.

The suspect is to be questioned in the presence of his attorneys on Sunday..
