Sunday, December 02, 2012 | 8:51 AM

SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth – The St Elizabeth police are probing the murder of 48-year-old taxi driver Wilbert Gayle of Haughton in the Lacovia police division early Saturday.

Gayle’s body was found in Haughton with multiple stab wounds, the hands and feet tied, and mouth gagged.

Police say Gayle, who regularly plies the Tombstone to Maggotty route, was reported missing by his wife late Friday after he failed to return home.

His silver Toyota motor car was reportedly spotted by police being driven in the Goshen area of St Elizabeth, but the driver is said to have eluded the police.
