SIXTEEN-year-old Gary White of Eltham Park in Spanish Town, St Catherine died as a result of injuries he received during a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Bell Road and Development Road yesterday morning.
Information received from the Hunts Bay Police is that about 11:45 am, an Isuzu truck was travelling along Development Road when on reaching the intersection of Bell Road it collided with a Honda motorcar.
It is reported that the driver of the Honda failed to obey the stop sign and collided with the truck.
White, who was a passenger in the motorcar, was seriously injured and was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died while being treated.
The truck driver was also treated at the KPH for a broken leg while the other driver escaped injuries.
The Hunts Bay Police are investigating.
