Teen killed in St Ann, suspect held

ST ANN, Jamaica — A teen was shot dead and a man shot and injured while walking along a roadway in Parry Town, Ocho Rios on Wednesday.

Dead is 18-year-old Ricardo Senior of Parry Town in the parish.

Reports from the Ocho Rios police are that about 6:45 pm, Senior was walking along the roadway with two men when they were pounced upon by unknown assailants who opened gunfire at them.

The police were summoned and on arrival, Senior was seen lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.


The injured man was taken to hospital by the third and is admitted in stable condition.

Police say a suspect is currently in custody.

Investigations continue.
