The verdict in the Cuban light bulb case freeing Kern Spencer and Coleen Wright has so far emerged as a Pyrrhic victory as the public still harbours grave doubts about the outcome. As a female, I sincerely hope that claims in the media about disagreements between two women, Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey and DPP Paula Llewellyn, had nothing to do with the ruling.

MP versus mayor

People are expressing disgust over the spat between Hanover MP Ian Hayles and the Lucea mayor. The MP now belongs in the same category as Everald Warmington, if not worse.

Bad man don't cry? Ask Vybz Kartel

Like Joel Andem, reports say Vybz Kartel bawled uncontrollably after his guilty verdict. Who says bad man don't cry?

Professional jealousy to blame

Those who know say professional jealousy is responsible for the undermining campaign against the successful number two. The boss feels threatened and has declared that he is the only 'god' in the company. Watch for the next wave of resignations.
