KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Observer's Editor-at-Large HG Helps, won this year's Jamaica Broilers Fair Play awards in the print category for his human interest series 'Death Postponed'.

Helps' human-interest series, which relates the experiences of people who had a narrow escape from the grim reaper, was described as 'a very personal and riveting expose' by one judge.

Helps won from a total of six print entries.

TVJ's Kirk Wright and Ivan Shaw won the overall television prize for an entry, which exposed the dangers of asbestos.
