Three curfews imposed in West Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have imposed three curfews in the troubled West Kingston communities of Admiral Town, Denham Town and Trench Town.

The curfews began at 7:00 PM and will remain in effect until 6:00 PM tomorrow.

The boundaries of the curfews are:

Admiral Town/ Lincoln Crescent:

North along Rousseau Road from William Road to Lincoln Crescent;

East along Lincoln Crescent from Rousseau Road to Lincoln Avenue;

South along Lincoln Avenue from Lincoln Crescent to William Road; and

West along William Road from Lincoln Avenue to Rousseau Road.

Denham Town:

North along Race Course Lane from Wellington Street to Blount Street;

East along Blount Street onto Bond Street from Race Course Lane to North

Street

South along North Street from Bond Street to Last Street; and

West along Last Street onto Wellington Street from North Street to Race Course

Lane.

Trench Town:

North along an imaginary line vicinity the Tony Spaulding Complex from West Road to Collie Smith Drive;

East along Collie Smith Drive from the northern boundary to Eight Street;

South along Eight Street from Collie Smith Drive to West Road; and

West along West Road from Eight Street to the northern boundary.

People within the boundaries of the curfews should stay within their premises unless they have received written permission from the ground commander.
