Three identified in the Granville murders

MONTEGO BAY, St James — Police yesterday released the identities of the three men who were gunned down in separate incidents in Granville, St James, in the early hours of Saturday.

They are 65-year-old taxi operator Keith Maxwell, also called Turbit of Violet Close; 25-year-old Ramesh Sutherland of Gordon Crescent; and 34-year-old car wash operator Peter Cunningham also called 'Tino' or 'Marcus' of Retirement district, all of Granville.

Reports are that about 2:00 am Saturday morning residents heard explosions coming from Cunningham's home and called the police. Upon their arrival the police found Cunningham suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

About 6:30 am, the bullet-riddled body of Maxwell was discovered at his home by the police who were summoned after residents heard explosions.

Shortly after, Sutherland was discovered face down in a pool of blood at his home after residents heard explosions and called the police.
