Three lottery scam suspects arrested

KINGSTON, Jamaica —Three people suspected to be involved in lottery scams were arrested in St James this morning.
The three were arrested by members of the Anti-Lottery Scam Task Force for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act during an operation at Emerald Place in Bogue Village, St James.
Reports are that members of the task force and the Jamaica Defence Force conducted an operation in the community at about 5:00am when the premises were searched.
Antony Stewart, 28, Christopher Williams, 23 and Shaheen Daley, 26, were arrested for ganja possession.
Additionally, lists-containing telephone numbers, addresses and other such information, cellular phones, a laptop, video game consoles, and a Toyota Corolla motorcar were seized.
The three will appear in court Wednesday, October 31.
