KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three men who were arrested for possession of close to 2,000 pounds of compressed ganja were today remanded into police custody when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.

Ian Williams and brothers Calvin and Laurn Henry were remanded until August 28 when bail applications are expected to be made on their behalf by George Soutar, QC, and Peter Champagnie.

The men were arrested two weeks ago after the police allegedly observed Williams sealing a false compartment on a truck in a yard in Kingston. A search of the truck reportedly turned up the weed.

The court was told today that the case file was incomplete as investigators are trying to locate the owner of the truck.
