THREE-YEAR-OLD Sachin Levers was killed in a motor vehicle crash on the Mammee Bay main road in St Ann yesterday morning.

According to the police, about 1:30 am the child was being transported to hospital when the Toyota motor car in which he was travelling crashed into a tree and overturned, injuring the child and his father, who was also a passenger. Both were taken to hospital where Sachin was pronounced dead and his father admitted in stable condition.

The driver of the motor car has since been charged with several breaches of the Road Traffic Act, including driving without a driver's licence, driving an unlicensed motor car, driving without insurance coverage, and driving without a valid certificate of fitness.

He was released after being issued a warning notice.
