Train schedule changed due to schools closing
Monday, July 16, 2012 | 2:44 PM
THE Jamaica Railway Corporation (JRC) says its schedule for the commuter train service between Spanish Town and Linstead will change, starting today, in response to the school summer break.
The evening service will see the train departing Spanish Town at 6:30 pm and arriving in Bog Walk at 6:48 pm. Departing Bog Walk at 6:50 pm, it will arrive in Linstead at 7:00 pm from where it will depart at 7:05 pm, arriving at Charlemont at 7:13 pm.
The 6:45 train left Charlemont and arrived in Linstead at 6:53 this morning. It then departed Linstead at 6:58 and arrived in Bog Walk at 7:08 am. The final leg saw it leaving Bog Walk at 7:10 am and arriving in Spanish Town at 7:30 am.
“The changes have been brought about by the fact that schools, which provide a portion of the JRC’s commuter revenues, are now on holidays,” the JRC said.
