SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth — Four fishermen from Treasure Beach, South West St Elizabeth, who ran into trouble off the Negril coastline while returning home from deep-sea fishing, have reached shore safely.

"The boat is now anchored off Negril and the men are safe," Councillor for the Pedro Plains Division Jeremy Palmer told the Jamaica Observer late last night.

Palmer said the fishermen went to sea "sometime before" the formation of Hurricane Sandy and were caught by rough seas fuelled by the storm as they returned home.
