Trinidad rattled by earthquake

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 rattled Trinidad and Tobago and neighbouring islands on Monday, the Seismic Unit of the University of the West Indies (UWI) has reported.

The quake, which happened at 1.26 pm (local time) occurred north-west of Trinidad at 11.34°N 61.98°W at a depth of 65 km.

Last week, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados were shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6

In both cases there were no reports of death or injury.
