Troupe takes leave of absence

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Deputy Mayor of Montego Bay, Michael Troupe has taken leave of absence from all party and public offices.
Troupe and his son were arrested on Wednesday at his Granville Home in St James by cops from the Lotto Scam Task Force who raided the premises.
The police report that they found an illegal 9mm pistol with five rounds of ammunition, more than US$10,000 and J$380,000 inside the house.
Both have been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
