Tuffy and Peter killed in Rivoli
Another shot and injured
Thursday, September 02, 2010
THE Spanish Town Police are investigating a double murder near the Rodney Memorial in the old capital last night.
The dead men have been identified as 32-year-old Kirk Dunn, also called 'Tuffy', of Old Market Street and Michael Munroe, 48, also called 'Peter', a watchman of Adelaide Street.
Another man was shot and injured in the incident.
Police report that the three were among a group of persons sitting on a step when a gunman approached and opened fire.
Munroe and Dunn died on the spot while the other man was treated at hospital and released.
Spanish Town has been the centre of violence between the notorious One Order and Klansman gangs who have been at loggerheads for more than a decade.
The area where the gun attack occurred is known as Rivoli and is one of the bases of the Klansman gang.
