Two killed, five injured in Rose Heights

A man and a woman were killed and five others injured in a shooting incident at Rose Heights in St James yesterday.
They have been identified as 29-year-old Micheal Nesbeth and 39-year-old Sharon Lawrence, both of Rose Heights.
The two were shot dead in their community while three others – two women and three men – who were injured and are in hospital.
The Mount Salem Police report that about 2:00 pm, all seven persons were at a barber shop in the area when they were pounced upon by a group of armed men. The men immediately opened fire, hitting all seven persons.
They were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where Nesbeth and Lawrence died while undergoing treatment, and the other five admitted in stable condition.
