DISCOVERY BAY, St Ann — Two security guards were killed in a road accident along the Discovery Bay main road in St Ann early this morning.

The men have been identified as Jeffery Wright, 54, of Maiden Lane in Kingston and 36-year- old Richard Lowe of Darliston in Westmoreland.

The two were among six guards traveling in a Liace mini-bus towards Runaway Bay from Discovery Bay when the vehicle crashed head on with a Nissan pick up travelling in the opposite direction.

The Discovery Bay police who are investigating said the accident occurred about 6:00 am in the vicinity of the Green Grotto Caves attraction.

All six guards in the bus, as well as the driver of the Nissan pick up, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the St Ann's Bay Hospital.

Wright and Lowe were pronounced dead on arrival while the other men were admitted in serious but stable condition.
