Two on bail for assault
Monday, October 08, 2012
TWO young men accused of indecently assaulting a four-year-old girl were each offered $100,000 bail when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.
It is alleged that the 20-year-old accused men put their penises on the little girl's vagina and anus on different occasions during their visits to her residence.
However, when the men appeared in court, attorney Hugh Faulkner during his a bail application told magistrate Lorna Shelly Williams that the medical report showed that there were no signs of penetration to the young girl's private areas.
The attorney also told the court that the men are denying the charge of indecent assault.
Both men were subsequently offered bail on condition that they reside at Hampton in Spanish Town, St Catherine and report three days at the Spanish Town Police Station. They were also given a 8:00 pm curfew order.
The accused are scheduled to return to court on November 5.
