THE United Nation's Children Fund (UNICEF) has appointed a new representative to Jamaica.
Mark Connolly, who assumed duties this week, has more than 25 years' experience with several international development organisations, including UNAIDS, the World Health Organisation, Children's Investment Fund Foundation and Street Kids International.
While at UNICEF, Connolly has focused extensively on public health, particularly HIV prevention and mitigating the impact of AIDS on children and families.
UNICEF Jamaica's former representative, Robert Fuderich, has started a new tour of duty as head of the agency's country office in Uzbekistan.
