UPDATE: Feb 21 court date for man facing three counts of rape

St Mary, Jamaica – The man who was apprehended in Retreat, St Mary this morning has been scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday after being on the run for almost two years.

Detectives assigned to the Port Maria Police arrested and charged 37-year-old Renaldo Reynolds, of Islington, St Mary.

Police say Reynolds eluded lawmen in 2015 after a report was filed against him for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl on three separate occasions in 2013 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He allegedly fled the area and was residing in sections of Kingston.

Following investigations, lawmen carried out an operation in Three Hills, Retreat, St Mary about 4:00 am this morning, during which Reynolds was held.

He is schedule to appear before the St Mary Parish Court on Tuesday.
