UPDATE: Police investigating Arthur Williams shooting

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) says that information surrounding the shooting of Senator Arthur Williams will be made public after the police have concluded their investigations.

Reports are that Williams sustained a non life-threatening gunshot wound to his foot Monday night.

Circumstances surrounding the shooting were not disclosed.

Williams is currently recovering after receiving medical treatment, a JLP statement said today.

“We wish Senator Williams a speedy recovery and convey our best regards to his family and friends,” JLP general secretary Dr Horace Chang said in the statement.
