UTech guards face assault charges
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Assault charges are expected to be laid today against two security guards implicated in the beating of a male student of the University of Technology.
The men were pointed out in an identification parade yesterday afternoon.
It was reported that their attorney, Christopher Townsend, will be returning to court today regarding a habeas corpus application that was filed seeking their release.
The guards, who were employed to Marksman Security, were arrested on Saturday, November 3, two days after they were caught on camera physically assaulting the UTech student, who was accused of engaging in a homosexual act.
