KINGSTON, Jamaica — The University of the West Indies (UWI) will suspend all activities at its Mona and Western campuses at 4:00pm today.
Additionally, the University will remain closed tomorrow due to the threat of Tropical Storm Sandy.
Arrangements have been made for all students on the halls of residence to remain there.
However, the administration said that students who wished to leave should do so after advising the Student Services Managers of their departure.
Essential services and emergency operations of the campuses will remain open, as well as Mona Information Technology Services.
The Health Centre will be closed. People with chronic illnesses are advised to get necessary medication as a precautionary measure.
