Wednesday, September 12, 2012 | 2:54 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaican sprint queen Veronica Campbell-Brown, says she is thankful for her performances at the recent London Olympic Games given the “medical challenges” she faced this season.

Affectionately called VCB, the four-time Olympian won silver in the sprint relay and bronze in the 100m, but finished fourth in her pet event, the 200m.

“I walked away from the Games with two medals”, VCB wrote in her IAAF online diary today, adding “Yes, you read correctly, no medal in the 200m for me…LOL (laugh out loud).

VCB addressed the views of some who said she seemed unprepared for the Games.

“Given what I went through in the 2012 season from a medical perspective, I am very appreciative of what I earned in London and congratulate the ladies who were able to secure higher medals”, the two-time Olympic individual gold medalist wrote.

No mention was made of what the medical issue but Campbell-Brown said she is focused on correcting it and preparing for next season.
