BY KIMMO MATTHEWS Observer staff reporter matthewsk@jamaicaobserver.com

Tuesday, January 03, 2012

A man who the Hanover Police had listed as one of their most wanted was shot dead in the parish last night.

He has been identified as George Brown, also called 'Shearer'.

Police report that about 10:30 residents in the Bull's Bay district heard explosions and summoned them. When the cops arrived they found Brown's body with several gunshot wounds.

Police say Brown, who was the leader of the Shearer gang which has been running amok in the parish, was wanted for several serious crimes including murder, shooting and rape.
