Two wanted men turn themselves in to police
Thursday, March 18, 2010
TWO men wanted by the Major Investigation Task Force (MIT) yesterday turned themselves in to the police.
"One of them give up himself at the Office of the Commissioner of Police on Old Hope Road and the other turned up at the MIT, in the company of his attorney," the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported yesterday.
The accused were identified as Valbert Mawaldi Harley, 30, of a Brettford Avenue in Kingston 10, and Shemar Smith, 22, of Grants Pen Avenue, Kingston 5 and Rock Valley, Stony Hill, St Andrew.
According to the CCN, Harley, who also goes by the names 'Walden Harley', 'Waldie' and 'Wallie', was wanted for shooting with intent, while Smith, otherwise called 'Shamarie', was being sought in a case of murder.
Both men will be questioned by detectives from MIT and charges will be laid against them later this week, said the CCN.
