KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising customers in some areas of St Mary that their water supply will be disrupted tomorrow from 8:00am to 7:00pm.

The disruption is to facilitate repairs to a broken main in the vicinity of the Ian Flemming International Airport, the NWC said.

Areas to be affected include sections of Boscobel, Stewart Town, Oracabessa, Race Course, Galina and Port Maria.

The company is urging its customers to store water for use during the period of disruption.

Meanwhile, customers served by the Charles Town System also in St Mary, are still without their water supply, which is due to mechanical problems affecting facility.

Affected areas are:  Charles Town, Breeze Hill, Content District and sections of Three Hill.

The NWC says restoration of regular service is to be expected Wednesday. In the interim water is being trucked to the affected areas.

In addition customers in Annotto Bay, Gibraltar housing scheme, Annotto Bay Hospital, Cricket River and Iterboreale are also without their water supply as a result of mechanical problems affecting the Annotto Bay Pumping Station.

Repairs are currently being carried out the NWC said and service is expected to return on or before Saturday, September 22.
