Monday, July 30, 2012 | 3:30 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica — THE National Water Commission (NWC) is advising customers served by the Chancery Hall Deepwell in St Andrew, that the disruption in service they are currently experiencing is due to a mechanical problem affecting the facility.

Areas affected include:

  • Chancery Hall;
  • Chancery Hall Heights;
  • Havendale;
  • Meadowbrook;
  • Sections of Molynes Road;
  • Queensborough;
  • Forest Hills Gardens;
  • Donmair;
  • Belgrade Heights;
  • Mannings Hill Road;
  • Kingswood; and
  • Diamond Road.

The company says repairs are presently being carried out and restoration of regular service is expected on or before Saturday, August 4.

The NWC says water will be trucked to the worst affected areas and where possible water is being diverted from other sources.
